I sometimes put DS on a booster seat (when my nephew is using DS's car seat) DS is 3.4 and quite big for his age.

Ebay are selling lots for nearly half price-Graco ones that are £79.99 are nearer £50.00 inc P&P

yes i quite like that one cod, but its quite dear. (its to go in mums car, which is just occasionally, for short trips)

its the sprint i like, which is cheaper

(so if mums offering to pay, maybe i like the crusier )

dd1 is 3 next month, shes tall for her age (but quite skinny)

ds went into one just before 4 - Maxi Cosi Rodi -and still uses it with the back support, you can buy a cup holder as an extra !
dd is almost 4 but doesn't meet the minimum weight for most yet (15kg +) and the ones from 9 months don't come out well safety wise although might consider Supercruiser.
Halfords and Boots have some reduced atm.

they need to weigh 15 kilos and if the seat uses a normal seat belt - these are the ones you are talking about aren't they? they need to be tall enough so it goes between their ear and shoulder. I did buy a booster and seat belt adapter thingy which moves the seatbelt across for my DS but he is 4.5 and very tall for occasional emergency use.
Otherwise I would stick to one with a back and headrest for normal use

i think she is tall enough - but ill weigh her too, tahnks

We have the Sprint, it has a built in seat belt adjuster which is great.

Not great for long journeys but absolutely fine for short ones were they are unlikely to fall asleep for any length of time.

Got ours at Boots - they were on offer at £10. Not sure if they still are though.

nailpolish · 19/08/2005 11:25

great! didnt notice it had a seatbelt adjuster

Just checked, Boots currently have the Sprint for £20.00 and the Horizon for £12.00.

The Horizon is a downgraded version of the Sprint - arm rests not adjustable and no cup holder. Still got seat belt adjuster though.

thanks for that saintgeorge. were going to halfords tomorrow, might try it out/have a look and then get it online at boots
