Gro first duvets - anyone have one?

My son will be moving into his first bed soon, so I have been looking at duvets and things and came across the Gro all in one duvet. My DS has always (from 3 months) been in a gro bag and is still very happy in one at 2.5 yrs, so I thought he may like this type of duvet.

It is abit expensive, considering you need to also by their quilt, but if it makes the transition from cot to bed and from sleeping bag to duvet easier I'm happy to pay it.

Love to hear if anyone has one and whether they consider it worth it.

Cheers

you could use a normal duvet - turn it round so it's sidways and tuck it under the mattress on both sides?

Then when he's older and more used to sleeping in a bed just use it normally.

When DS moved into his first bed we just tucked his cot duvet in well, and he slept so well. After a week we changed him to his new duvet with 'special sheets'. Don't waste you money

DD was in a Grobag from birth (big baby!) till 3yo and loved it so I worried a bit too about the transition to a duvet. Briefly looked at Grobag duvet but thought it was way too expensive especially if you buy two sets to allow for night-time 'incidents'.

In the end we made a big day out of going to Ikea where she could jump on try all the beds and pick her own duvet, pillow and a couple of duvet covers, run amok in the toy dept, eat/play in the restaurant and watch Thomas Tank on a loop. She was so excited about getting into her new bed that night and has never once asked about her Grobag. She is in a cotbed kind of with sides so little danger of falling out (although she still has). We also bought these to take to g/parents and as we travel a lot - found them very good.

I've already been "told" no duvet! So still trying to talk him around!

Could he just stay in the Grobag (they go up to age 6, I think) and have Dream Tubes or other kind of bed guard on his big bed?

My DD is in a bed with her grobag, she can walk in it fine and take it off if she needs to - without it on she just gets out of bed and thinks it is a game, with it on she knows it is bedtime and even if she takes it off she stays in bed! We tried her without and she sat for over an hour trying to wrap a muslin around her legs!

We have one of these that go under the sheet and was the best buy as you can sit on it to give cuddles/story etc and it just goes back to shape when you get up! Come ina few sizes but is fantastic!
