Labial atrophy post menopause

Okay, I need advice from the post menopausal crowd, please. What do you do about vaginal/labial atrophy?! I’ve always been a girl who likes forceful, intense experiences but I’ve been bleeding from friction burns round my clitoris for the last few days after some delightful torment with a little, pinpoint vibe. (That’s def, the source, nothing scary and internal, not happened before and partner is actually a sweet and gentle chap who aims to please and is now horrified. Me too! I thought I was past all that bleeding on the sheets nonsense!)

suggestions welcome, please!

Prescription oestrogen cream to be applied in the vagina and on the clitoris/inner labia. Makes a world of difference. It’s called Ovestin. It’s a tiny localised dose of oestrogen but can do wonders.

Thanks so much! I love your username! I assume it’s related?!

The username was inspired by a housework thread and someone said that another poster must have grim gussets in their underwear or something like that.

I don't possess a Vulva, but I have read a fair bit about them. Have you tried CBD? CBD Bristol makes a CBD Lube that has properties for arousal and benefits for menopausal women.

With the greatest respect, as someone who does have a vulva, vaginal and vulval oestrogen is what OP needs for her symptoms.

Lube is great, but it's no substitute for diminishing oestrogen levels.

@Additup

No problem, it was the CBD properties rather than the lube aspect I thought maybe of interest. Also, some people do like alternatives to medical prescriptions. It's a shame in the UK that the strength of CBD is limited.

Gina is your friend. Available in Boots without a prescription after completing a questionnaire with a pharmacist.

Definitely try HRT as in estrogen cream.
Can be rubbed around the vulva, clitoris and vaginal entrance. It can also be inserted internally if needed, although I have vagifem pessaries for internal use.

I also use either YES vaginal moisturiser or Hydromol ointment around the same area in the mornings.
