Just that really. I'm 53
OLD is time consuming ....
I'm just missing anyone touching me - it's been too long.

it's so simple.

You don't feel old? No, of course you don't because you are not.

So, change the age range on your OLD search filter. I suggest 20-50. And just watch what happens.

I was thinking of starting something like a website for people for whom O.L D. hadn't worked, where they could somehow meet other people in a similar situation, chat, get to know each other and maybe it would lead to them meeting up IRL and living happily ever after.

OLD seems to be the best way - but its like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I think the dating sites don’t suit me because it’s like flicking through a catalogue and people probably chat to more than one person at a time (I don’t; I actually disable my discovery if I start chatting). I think forms like this would suit me a lot better as you can chat first without pics and it feels more relaxed.

I tried OLD once and was swamped with replies but it just felt really tacky, some were downright creepy and impersonal. I did get to chat to one one guy who seemed nice but he was too far away and not enough spark form someone who lived 150 miles away.

I live in a semi rural/suburban area so the dating pool is pretty small and while I'm prepared to travel, it's an area where people think 20 miles is half a world away.
