Chance of Pregnancy

Hi everybody. I’m new to here. I would like to discuss the chances of pregnancy since I recently stopped my contraceptive pill. I am 22 years old and from the UK. I have been on the pill for 6 years.
I have recently stopped my pill to see how it affects my mental health.
The last pill I had taken was on 24/08/2023 (for UK dates) 08/24/2023 (for those in the USA).
I had the usual “period” during the break I usually take for the 7 days which started on 28/08/2023 and usually I would take my pill again 7 days since I took the last one which should of been 31/08/2023. However, because I was now stopping my pill, I didn’t take it on this date and the bleeding lasted until 01/09/2023.
It then stopped and I hadn’t taken a pill since 24/08/2023.
On 14/09/2023 my boyfriend accidentally came inside of me, after using the pull out method since I had stopped my pill. I thought nothing of it but took ovulation tests to see where my natural cycle was up to. I also took 2 pregnancy tests which came up negative however the ovulation tests came up positive.
I then took a pregnancy test on 28/09/2023 just to be sure as I had pregnancy paranoia and I had the slightest faint line showing. Not even the full line but it was so faint I was wondering, how it would show if there was no HGC?
Now since using the pull out method, we have been so used to me being on the pill that it’s easy to forget that I am now off the pill (please don’t judge😩) my partner then came in me again a few days ago on 14/10/2023. What should I do? I haven’t had a period since I stopped the pill yet but am worried, what are the chances of pregnancy and ovulation since I last took the pill on 24/08/2023?

You're having unprotected sex so of course you could be pregnant. Do you want to be pregnant? I'm presuming not based on what you've said but your actions say you do. You both need to act more responsibly. If you're pregnant and don't want it, get an abortion.
The pull out 'method' isn't contraception.

oktobeok · 17/10/2023 01:57

You haven't been using contraception for 2 months and you have had unprotected sex, surely you know that you may be pregnant.

Do another test. As the pp said, if you're pregnant and don't want it, get rid.

I'd also bin this boyfriend of yours that is putting you at risk of pregnancy with his 'forgetfulness' and lack of control. Sounds like a selfish bastard to me.

If you don't want hormonal contraception, look into other sorts and choose a partner that is responsible with contraception too. It's not just a woman's issue.

GigiAnnna · 17/10/2023 07:16

Just repeat the pregnancy test. If you're going to worry about being pregnant every time you have sex then you need to go on contraception. I don't agree with thr above poster that entirely blamed your boyfriend. Yes he should have used a condom knowing you aren't on contraception, but you agreed to sleep with him without. Take responsibility for your own body.

FlagFatigue · 17/10/2023 07:41

@GigiAnnna Whilst the pull out method isn't reliable, she said they were using that 'method'. Yet you think because she agreed to sleep with him, she agreed for him to ejaculate inside her. Absolutely fucking not. Ffs.

VTIFSAG · 17/10/2023 07:55

You're going to have to test again, yes you could be pregnant as you're having unprotected sex.

@FlagFatigue is right, don't let anyone tell you that just because you agreed to have sex, that not pulling out when you've agreed you're using that method, is ok. It's not ok. The method is not contraception though and if you want to avoid pregnancy, you need actual contraception.

GigiAnnna · 17/10/2023 08:10

When there's the prospect of an unwanted child or an abortion, you really need to take responsibility for you own actions. Pregnancy happens to the woman's body, whereas a man can just walk away. If I was going to be so worried about being pregnant I'd make sure I'd done everything possible to prevent it. Sometimes it goes in by accident or there may be a small amount leaked in before the ejaculation anyway, so it's besides the point. Women aren't at the mercy of a man's wishes, not when there are so many options available.

Graasspp · 17/10/2023 08:14

Buy another test and you'll know

AdventuresWithDogs · 17/10/2023 13:16

You're going to need to test again, obviously you could be pregnant. Book an appointment to talk about contraception.

Please listen to the advice on the thread, your boyfriend isn't prioritising you're health, you would be the one having to have a termination or go ahead with a pregnancy.

Sometimes it goes in by accident or there may be a small amount leaked in before the ejaculation anyway, so it's besides the point.

Fucking hell. This is disgusting. Just because OP has agreed to have sex with him pulling out, does not means it's 'beside the point' when he doesn't do that. Yes, pregnancy can still occur, but It's about consent. Do not try to erode women's boundaries. @FlagFatigue is spot on about this.

JoanMacIntosh · 19/10/2023 11:07

Of course you could be pregnant, you need to do a test.

If you want to avoid pregnancy you need to figure out your cycle and avoid having sex when you’re fertile; generally 3 days before, 3 days during and three 3 after ovulation.

ThickSkinnedSoWhat · 19/10/2023 18:45

You're either not 22 or you're secretly hoping to 'accidently' get pregnant, because no average person who really doesn't want to be pregnant would act like this.

Longsight2019 · 21/10/2023 00:00

He isn’t accidentally ejaculating inside you. It’s intentional. It turns him on. It’s that simple.
