Binning/recycling old sex toys?

We've got a few old sex toys which we're wanting rid of. Perhaps I shouldn't be but I'm a bit embarrassed to put them in recycling in case they are seen etc. What do people normally do?

Bin. They will last years and years though if you buy good quality and take care of them.

@Bexx87 These are really old and definitely defunct, including two Rabbits circa 1996 and 1999. Maybe rare collectables for someone but I won't be taking them on the Antiques Roadshow any time soon! 😂

Just bin them, take batteries out though because you don't want them accidentally buzzing around in the bottom of your wheelie bin waiting to be emptied 😂

Chuck them in a bag with something horrible, chicken carcass etc and drop in your bin nobody is going to be looking that closely

@MissingOkie It is genuine and I'm feeling a bit daft about it really. Yes, chucking them in the bin buried with the rest of the rubbish is the obvious thing. We're just heavily into recycling stuff and there's plastic and rubber involved and five items altogether and it seems wrong to add them to landfill.

We've also other family members living with us and the thought of anyone catching sight of anything in the wheely bin is frankly a bit excruciating!😳

Years ago I had to lose a purple vibrating dildo I was given as a bit of a joke, never liked but couldnt take home from university. The halls of residance main bins were locked away in a bin store and the only on site bins were the ones in our rooms and the kitchen bins. In the end I put it in a Pringles tube, put that in my bag and on the way to lectures dropped the tube in a street bin quietly.

Since then we have slung toys in the Small Appliances skip at our council recycling centre. Thsts not hard as the skip has a top and the sides only have holes maybe 30cm wide so only small items can go in and as long as I go to the side away from the drive through lane nobody can see the things going from carrier to skip.

I would never put anything in my domestic bin as I have a likely irrational fear of someone going through our rubbish and finding things.

Thanks @ValerieBroad . That's where I'm coming from really. I'll check out our Small Appliances skip at our local site. At least I'll feel more anonymous that way and just he able to walk away. Love the idea of using an empty Pringles tube! 😂

I'm too scared of a random storm or high winds knocking my bin over and them rolling along the road that I bag them up, tie a knot in thr bag, drive to a out of town layby (hence no cctv) and bin them there. Then drive off very quickly 😆.
