Orgasms suddenly weak? 30 year old female

NC for this.

So, as the title explains, my orgasms are suddenly weak, rubbish, anti-climactic. Almost like I reach it but I don't climax properly. I've been sexually active for 10+ year, I've never had this problem! I'm used to mind blowing orgasms that go through my whole body and leave me totally satisfied and exhausted. It feels like i haven't gone straight after now. What's going on? It's been going on for a few months now and it's so so depressing.

Anyone know what's wrong with me or how I can fix this? Google is useless and just comes up with trashy sites or "how to" pages.

Ps. Not due to lack of arousal. Everything is the same, and great, just my orgasms that are broken!

Are you on any medication such as anti depressants?

cantsleepp · 22/05/2023 19:01

I would also wonder about medication, or if not could it be pelvic floor weakness? Download the NHS Squeezy app and do regular exercises and you should hopefully see an improvement

I’ve had the same since giving birth. It really is the worst so I empathise completely. Could be pelvic floors, I believe my problem is vaginal laxity so that could be something to look into. There is (expensive but not astronomical) laser rejuvenation which fixes that problem in 1-2 Sessions yearly with minimal side effects. Something I would do if I could afford it!

Might be worth speaking to the gp to see if it’s hormonal or if a womens health physio might help?

Preschoolermum99 · 22/05/2023 22:01

Also think it was nerve damage which has improved slightly over the years - could that be a possible cause for you?

pampam24 · 22/05/2023 23:26

No med, pelvic floor was weak post birth but orgasms were great then, it's only more recently. I only orgasm through clitoral stimulation anyway - so pelvic floor issues wouldn't affect that, right?

It really came on suddenly 3/4 months ago, the first couple of times it happened I was so shocked and confused, but now it's pretty much every time. I can't understand it. GP will probably laugh at me, I'd be way too embarrassed to mention it anyway.

Pelvic floor will still affect orgasm feeling even if just clitoral stimulation. That being said, I would see a GP as could be a nervous disorder or something.

Jane881 · 25/05/2023 21:59

I'm also finding the same. I'm 36.
TMI but I'm finding my clitorus is smaller /won't harden like it used do. I wonder if it's hormonal. The pelvic floor exercise might be a good shout though x

Midsummernightmare · 25/05/2023 23:58

Maybe you just need to try a different approach or technique? Our bodies change all the time and there could be lots of factors involved. For example a while back I found rubbing a bullet really quickly on me did the trick, more recently I prefer the sensation of a vibrator just pressed down hard and not moving it around. Try something new.

pampam24 · 26/05/2023 09:44

Tried everything, every approach! Nothing makes it better. Orgasms lasts less than a second. For it to come on so suddenly I can't help but think somethings wrong...
i have a very active sex life as a newly wed - gutted!

Perhaps you need the opposite approach and have a break for a few days/ a week?

cantsleepp · 05/06/2023 23:26

Weak pelvic floor would affect orgasm no matter how it was achieved. If really truly is worth looking into some pelvic floor physio just to check on that side of things, especially if you're not going to discuss with gp

WonderingWanda · 14/06/2023 23:15

Get your thyroid and iron levels checked.

pampam24 · 15/06/2023 12:56

@WonderingWanda would that effect it?

@cantsleepp I had no idea a weak pelvic floor would impact an orgasm even if achieved the 'other way'. That's so helpful and has given me some hope - thank you!
Physio I saw was a bit useless other than saying "yes, you're doing Kegals correctly". I must admit I haven't done them for some months, that could be why then - squeezy app use will commence today!

@pampam24 yes Google it. It can be a sign of hypothyroidism, in men ED is a sign.
