Shave genitals - Yay or nay ?

Chickensoup88 · 11/04/2023 23:05

I am just curious and apologies to anyone who finds the post offensive.

Do you shave your genitals or you don’t bother about it? I am mainly referring to women with active sex life.

YABU - I shave
YANBU - I don’t shave

I don’t shave. I keep it generally tidy and trimmed but the idea of making my genitals look pre-pubescent whilst having an active sex life gives me the ick. I also find it fairly repulsive that a man would want that too.

Murdoch1949 · 12/04/2023 00:19

Pubic hair is there for a reason. Sex workers began shaving to give clients what they wanted, a better view on the TV or photos of their genitalia. Unless you're a sex worker, respect your body.

WhatWouldChristineCagneyDo · 12/04/2023 00:22

I would shave, but theres some squirrels nesting in my lush ginormous bush. Might do it in the autumn, when I won't be violating The Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.

I grow mine and then have them styled into dreads down to the floor and dye each dread a different colour to represent my mood. I then simply have whichever colour dread that is currently matching my mood hanging out over my waistband and have it dangling around like a penis for the world to see. Sometimes I have a few moods at once and have been known to have several bright coloured penis's swinging in the wind

The detail here is amazing.

RespoDadSexGod · 12/04/2023 00:23

@Port1aCastis Why are you on this thread when you should be in my I’m a poet but didn’t know it.

IHateLegDay · 12/04/2023 00:26

I get mine permed.

RobertaFirmino · 12/04/2023 00:28

My bush is so long, I decided to call it Kate.

CallieQ · 12/04/2023 00:53

I like to shave one side but not the other Grin

GarlicGrace · 12/04/2023 02:37

I would like to thank PPs for giving me loads of laughter on a dull night!

😂😂🤣🤣 I can't stop laughing at this. Proper cheered me up, thank you!!

F4cesittingqueen · 12/04/2023 03:55

I frequently do and my partner loves it for our intimate time.
It’s a personal preference though, don’t let anyone else tell you what to do.
For me our intimacy centres around rp and power settings and I feel more powerful to do the practices we like without pubic hair

Riapia · 12/04/2023 04:37

I set aside half an hour a week for minge management.
😁😁

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 12/04/2023 06:17

I think it could be construed as racist if you just limit it to gentiles.

GrasstrackGirl · 12/04/2023 06:21

This thread is a bit icky but why do people think that school children troll Mumsnet during the school holidays? Children have much better things to do than to troll a niche online community.

C1N1C · 12/04/2023 06:23

I do, can't find my penis otherwise 😋

This question seems to come up a lot... 🤨

Oh bless. Do you have children? Do you have any idea what they do when you are out of the room
The is the 21st century equivalent of kids ringing people up and asking them daft questions such as 'are you on thecline...well get off, there's a train coming', etc.
However, bad reflection of the intelligence level of our young folk - they can't tell the difference between beauty or chat sections and aibu

MovingonfromMartin · 12/04/2023 09:24

@Backinntheroom I have never heard any of the kids of today using the phrase yay or nay when they ask a question. Have you?

NCSexForum · 12/04/2023 09:24

I find it ironic that women are accusing kids of using this post as wank fodder but are here acting like kids themselves, clearly grown women can’t handle discussing body related things in a non-flippant way.

It’s a simple refusal to contribute to wank fodder. Why on earth do you feel ‘grown women’ should be discussing whether or not they shave their pubic hair with deep gravity?

Who on earth said those women have to reply and contribute. If you can’t reply maturely then surely the adult thing to do is ignore the post? Is that so hard to do? What evidence do you have that it’s wank fodder and not a question of general interest, none!

Equally, why are you hanging about on a thread whose flippancy clearly annoys you? Wouldn’t the ‘adult’ thing to do be to ignore and close?

It doesn’t annoy me, I’ve clearly pointed it out. There is nothing wrong with calling out trolling behaviour, it’s no different to MN commenting on the thread and asking posters not to troll the OP. I was going to add my input but with the thread being full of childish comments, I decided against it.

It seems like you need to do the same. A laugh, christ, how sad grown women find shaving genitals a laugh 🙄

It’s funnier if you consider the poster with an interest in ‘women with an active sex life’ frothing with disappointment over lack of salacious details?

Or do you shave your pubic hair ritually, with an air of deep gravity, in a cloud of incense?
