DH is a bit hairy down there and wants to tidy up his bush. Whenever I shave the itching drives me crazy so I just tidy up with scissors.

Can men recommend a shaver for the pubic area which doesnt cause itching and discomfort. Personal experience type of thing.
I've looked at Manscaping UK and there is a nice razor I could get as a christmas present, but I don't want to waste a lot of money it its ditched because of the itching.
Bit of a weird question I know, but nowhere or noone else to ask!

@StarlightLady

This response is a blend of lighthearted and accurate. I’m not male, but being a woman of a certain age (early 40s), l’ve been asked to assist with a few manscape tidy ups in my time. I’m also told it makes something look larger but l wouldn’t know!!!

For starters, l am amazed at the number of men who do absolutely nothing. Please, tidy up! At least treat yourself to a small (beard?) comb and use regularly, whatever style you opt for, in addition use shampoo and conditioner below when you wash your hair. There is a huge difference between natural and a potentially sweaty shambles.

Requirements: One man (minimum) Shampoo. Good quality hair conditioner. Small comb. Razor. Hair dressing scissors. Razor with new blade. Optional: Restraints in case of wriggling/fidgeting.

From my experience, it’s easy to get a man to sit still, when you sit in front of him, brandishing both sharp scissors and a razor. Take the man 😂, remove pants and Ignore the stricken look.

Shampoo and condtion the man. Comb through hair when wet and with conditioner in place, use hair dressing scissors and comb to remove surplus hair. Then rinse, put man back in pants and see what he thinks after a few days. Either way instruct to comb daily. At least this will give you a less sweaty one (man).

Then, take said man and see what he would like. He may opt to stay like this with regular trims, this is the low maintenance option.

If he opts for all off, you have option of wet shave, in which case use a fresh sharp blade and hair conditioner so the razor glides. Ignore any fearful looks and absolutely do not tolerate any fidgeting.

Option 2 is a Ladyshave type trimmer preferably with a foil head. Instruct man to buy his own. No loaning, their hair is courser, especially if there has been minimal grooming.

Veet Sensitive is your other option. Do a spot test as per instructions, no short cuts or your man can become noisy and unco-operative. If there is no bad reaction you can proceed and “coax” the hair with a razor as opposed to the plastic thingy provided.

While you are at it, you might as well sort out his underarms too. Easier for him to apply deodorant properly and they smell less sweaty that way.

If your man has been co-operative with minimum of fuss you might allow him one drink.

Take next man and repeat as above 😂😂😂!

It is good to give them a minimal taste of what women go through and at the very least they should cook your dinner as thanks.

This made me laugh out loud..! 😂

This sounds like a great night of fun together starlight lady!

I’d like to volunteer please ! More than happy to shower and shampoo myself first but if you’re offering to administer yourself then start the shaving then bargain. Deal me In ! Grin

I’m loving your confidence. Wink
@Freddy12 can you confirm which one you use as me and my partner would like to try
Hi
It is a Phillips Lumina, works very well

Rieslinger · 05/01/2022 10:53

Trimmer and don't get too close, benefit if done right it will make his Todge look bigger!

oldwhyno · 05/01/2022 12:31

Just a standard beard trimmer will do the job, and or even some scissors for a rough and ready job. Don't do it in the shower as it'll clog the drain. Sit backwards on the toilet if there's room and it'll all fall into the pan.

Going quite short does make you look bigger. Don't reccommend going fully bald though. Sweaty balls and itching. Also I tried shaving my bum hole once and it just made my farts squeak.

Freddy12 · 06/01/2022 18:09

Hi Oldwhyno
I found being completely smooth way less sweaty
I was always scratching my balls before (attractive not) way cooler and more comfortable now smooth - IPL machine and it does not grow back

Rockard · 10/10/2022 14:25

Have been hairless for a number of years now. I find it makes me hornier especially when going commando. Shorts are the best for this experience

whoknew123 · 10/10/2022 16:24

Always use Frizz Ease on DP's and he has silky smooth flowing pubes you could strong a violin with X

Rieslinger · 10/10/2022 16:46

These were originally made by Seiko and are designed for pits or bits, not waterproof and you would need to get the lawn down to a green level of length before you employ this.

On a personal level I'm going for a Baldilocks this very evening with this cream

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07F84MRMV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Quite nervous but am going for it!

Rieslinger · 11/10/2022 12:45

Well the cream works a treat, slight chemical odour but no 'orrible side effects like I've had with Veet before

whoknew123 · 11/10/2022 17:25

Personally, I think you can't go wrong with a #1 round the back and sides, nice fade and a #3 over the top. Finish Orr with a little wax or pomade too.

NoDatingForOldMen · 11/10/2022 19:14

Another vote for a regular beard trimmer, go for battery one with different heads for different lengths, something like this is perfect

Philips 7-in-1 All-In-One Trimmer, Series 3000 Grooming Kit for Beard & Hair with 7 Attachments, Including Nose Trimmer, Self-Sharpening Blades, UK 3-Pin Plug-MG3720/33 amzn.eu/d/61vPyxl

The manscaping stuff is overpriced nonsense, and ignore the nonsense essay some posted above

Davy009 · 11/10/2022 23:37

I've been shaving my balls and base of the shaft for about 15 yrs, never had any shaving rash or ingrowing hairs, just a quick shave in the shower to be honest its easier to shave my cock and balls than my face lol. I do get a rash though if I shave on top, so I trim that area quite short with normal hair clippers allways works fine. to be honest I find a complete shaved area on a guy looks a bit odd - in the same way a face with out eyebrows or a house without curtains, looks out but takes a minute to work out why - haha

VeniVidiWeeWee · 17/10/2022 01:06

Well, if you want to test trust, use a straight edged razor and use his cock as a strop!

lauraUK1000 · 17/10/2022 13:38

I wouldn't bother with the Manscaping Trimmer thing, it just looks like a regular trimmer with a load of marketing on social media behind it. A regular trimmer will do the same job I expect.

I would trim down to get things tidied up then decide how much further to go and depends if he want to be smooth and hairless down there. DH has preferred being completely smooth down there for years and started out shaving, now he gets waxed that lasts much longer and has been thinking of going to get is lasered.
