Hair removal

Can you use hair removal cream down there? What kind of 'finish' does it leave if so? Thanks

Yes, I have. The skin is fine afterwards. Just don't make the mistake a friend of mine did and apply without much heed. Some of it went where she didn't want it to go and necessitated an embarrassing trip to the chemist!

Sleepyquest · 21/02/2021 17:19

That's really good advice thank you

Use woo woo rather than the usual names it's made for pubic hair and for me is safe and non irritant.

Rainbowx · 21/02/2021 20:27

I use woo hair remover no problem as made for that area.

roastpotatoesss · 21/02/2021 21:43

Another vote for woo- I don’t bother with waxing anymore, just slap that on down there and I’m away.

I’ve also sued Veet sensitive in a pinch and it’s been okay- you’re not meant to use that down there though so maybe don’t take that as advice!

Be very careful, or this can be the result:

Get Woo Woo online, I've not seen it in the usual pharmacies.

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 21/02/2021 23:21

How long before re growth? I'm liking the sound of woo woo!

Sleepyquest · 22/02/2021 07:29

@PhilCornwall1 what an excellent review Grin

I was going to buy woo woo a few months back but saw some bad reviews on Amazon. Think I may give it a go but patch test first

I wonder what the grow back time is like? That's one reason I tried waxing (well beautician persuaded me to). Interesting how this is able to achieve this without the problems using Veet were?

Having said that I may as well try it given that beauticians won't be open anytime soon. I hate the razor and DH hates me hairy (as do I) so might offer an alternative lol

StarlightLady · 22/02/2021 09:50

A spot test is vital with any cream. Just as we are not a herd, our skin types and the ways our body reacts are all very different.

I’m fine with Veet Sensitive for all off (l prefer to give a little coaxing with a razor rather than the plastic thingy) but my sister can’t use it and opts for a foil head trimmer.

Whatever you opt for the regrowth time is about the same. A full wax probably has slightly slower regrowth, but then you are stuck with the growing back period between waxes.

Finally, if you do wet shave, forget the fancy shaving creams etc, use a good quality hair conditioner.

Sleepyquest · 22/02/2021 10:15

I definitely will not shave. I had a horrible incident of going on holiday after shaving once and just walked around with my fanny on fire. Don't know how people do it!

I'm too scared to use a razor so use an electric one. I tried veet once but it left my skin quite sore. I now have one of those Philips Lumea things and I am zapping myself all over. It hasnt been amazing as promised but there is definitly less hair down there. I will keep plodding on in the hope that it continues to reduce.

NewYearHere20 · 22/02/2021 16:28

tried the Woo woo cream after I saw it suggested here. Unfortunately it didn't really work for me and made my skin red roar. I've tried all sorts of creams and lately have been disappointed with them all.
I now use an electric shaver and although the results aren't as good as waxing it's good enough for me and I've found I can shave regularly without any side effects.
