Pelvic floor help

This is my first ever post, I really need some advice. I have two children, after my second child 7 years ago I noticed I could no long run jump etc as I would wet myself. Also sex stopped as I’m just way to loose, no pleasure for either party. I have tried virginal cones but they just come out. I have tried pelvic floor exercises but I can only hold for a second and despite doing these over and over things do not improve. I finally worked up the courage to go to my gp. she basically told me that they do not do anything for loose viginas and that has nothing to do with pelvic floor exercises. I asked about wetting myself and she said again this is not to do with my pelvic floor that is bladder function and if it was that bad they could maybe give me medication. I left feeling embarrassed and confused. Any advice greatly appreciated

Would this not be better in one of the health categories?

Have a look at Kegel 8 electronic pelvic floor toners. Pricey option but have worked for me. I can now clench!

What a useless gp.
Get a second opinion and ask for a physio appointment who specialises in womens health and gynecology.
Terrible advice from the gp.

I have just had an appointment with a women's health physio today, she was great. See a different gp and ask to be referred to one, it isn't something you should have to put up with.

I would go and see another GP. That was an appalling response.

Useless GP and it's not true what she's told you. Yes the NHS don't operate for vaginal tightness, but they can help with physio for the pelvic floor

Your GP was talking nonsense. You sound like you need to see a women’s health physiotherapist and work on your pelvic floor strength.

You need to see a different GP, and get a referral to the Continence Clinic.

You need a pelvic obstetric gynaecology physiotherapist - who offer support for women with incontinence and pelvic health. GPs know very little about this branch of physiotherapy!
