Painful scar tissue I think? Please help :(

So, giving birth to DS two years ago did a bit of a number on my ladyparts, second degree periurethral tear, normal 2nd degree tear a few other minor tears. Spent over an hour being stitched up altogether.
Now whenever I've been standing up all day, or I'm due/ on my period, or certain positions DTD, what I think is the scar tissue towards the front hurts like billy-o. Either a very strong ache, much like the ache when it was first healing (mostly from standing/ period) or a really sharp stabbing pain (mostly during sex).
Does anyone know what I can do about this? Is this normal? I'm 100% done with waiting for it to heal it's had over 2 yearsSad

Have you been checked for prolapse? Hurting because you've been standing up for a while does not sound like pain from scar tissue.

For the scar, get a gel called Contractubex and rub it into the scar tissue (outside & inside) for a count of 100 morning and night. It is a scar cream that is specific for gynecological operations & mastectomies that was prescribed to me by a sympathetic female gybecologist, after I had a huge episiotomy scar that was still painful 6 months after the birth. Pain during sex went away in two weeks.

You can get a set of vaginal dilators perhaps? Usually used for vaginismus or other conditions which cause painful sex. Think the idea is to build up to a big enough diameter that sex isn't painful anymore.

Thank you Côte I'll look into that, it's not prolapse, I know what they look like and I look perfectly normal, most of my stitches were internal iyswim and the little scar I have externally is still quite tender if I catch it wrong, but the real damage was done by a tear inside but not perineal, on the opposite side. I have other (totally unrelated obvs) scars other places, one from a knee injury as a teen (I'm 25 now) that feel very similar

I have a friend who has just had a small op for something which sounds very similar. I'd go to your GP and see what they say. She was refered

TBH if it's not better after 2 years it probably won't get better on its own so perhaps a doctors appt is in order.

I had stitches with ds1 nearly 16 years ago and it is still sometimes a bit uncomfortable. The doctor who put them in was busy chatting to her mate and the midwife who examined me afterwards said they were 'neither use nor ornament' and took them out! So it didn't heal 'together' properly and has always been a bit tender. However, the other pain you mention sounds like it is worth investigating properly.
