Do you find the smell of your other halves sweat attractive?

I can remember watching Topgun as a young teen, and finding Tom Cruise really sexy, except the bit where he's in the lift all sweaty. I remember thinking ewww he must smell gross. I always thought being sweaty was a turn off until I met dp.

Was lying in bed with him the other day, he was shirtless and sweaty from going for a run with the dog just before he came up for a lie down. He smelt really manly and sexy. It then occured to me that he's the only man who I find it a turn on when he's sweaty, or who I have had really sweaty sex with and not felt a bit ick about it.

Is this something to do with pheramones? Do you find the smell of your other halves sweat attractive? I mean fresh sweat btw, not a weeks worth of BO from not showering. Or is it just me? Or does anyone feel the opposite and find it a turn off?

Fresh sweat yes. Old sweat on clothe no.

One hot summer's day we came back inside from playtime, and as I sat down at my desk I said to my neighbour, "Ugh, I'm all sweaty!"

"POCKET!" said the teacher, in a horrified voice. "Ladies do not sweat! They perspire ."

Have to say I don't find anyone's sweat smell nice, but especially not men's. I think it's the testosterone. My last ex smelt amazing most of the time, mainly cos he used a lot of cocoa butter (and despite being a light smoker), but I would certainly encourage him into the shower when we got back from the gym!

Yup. At the end of his day working a hard manual job he smells incredible. there is the linger of his aftershave with pure man hard work smell. Mmmmmmm. Perhaps I'm weird though.

Just to say and sorry if its gross, he is the same with me. If I have been out for a walk/run he gets all frisky! I appologise for my stinkyness and try to get in the shower, but he can't stop sniffing me. Apparently he loves my stink

Oh yes, definitely. In fact, this is one reason why I find hairy men more attractive: they smell more strongly. My DH smells divine when he sweats.

He never smells of stale sweat/BO, though. That's just gross.

Smell is very important to me when choosing a partner. If they don't smell right, it doesn't matter how wonderful they are.

He smells nice when he gets back from work and when he wakes up, ie his natural smell.
He doesn't smell when he sweats straight after exercising, he showers straight away. In 13 years ive never once smelled BO on him, though I honestly can't imagine anyone in the world finds that smell attractive on anyone!

I love the smell of my man.....his sweat is lovely, but it's clean sweat, not minging old sweat.

I'm particularly fond of cuddling him & sniffing where his neck meets his shoulders - it's like catnip to me!

Oooh, fresh sweat on a man after a muddy game of football or rugby.
Something about aftershave, sweat, mud & grass mixture that sets me off.
Sadly, DH doesn't get much time for sport these days.
Sometimes I'll sniff his work shirts as I'm stuffing them in the washing machine to get my fix.

Not sweat no, but the natural manly odour I really like! It doesn't smell bad at all, just like deodorant that's been on all day.

I don't think it's sexual for me as when I was a kid I loved the smell of my dad like that too, I guess it's just I associate it with safe cuddles!

I love the smell of dh after work, and after the gym, when he isn't sticky anymore, it's a proper manly smell. Love it when it's mixed with the faint smell of deodorant too

I love the smell of DH and I don't mind at all if he's sweaty . Actually, at the end of a hard day there's nothing I like more than to stick my head in his armpit when he gets home and have a good sniff of him - I really think it lowers my blood pressure!

Fresh sweat, absolutely! I love sniffing my DP's armpits when he's been exercising. He thinks I'm a total weirdo

Old sweat is minging but fortunately DP is a shower fanatic so that's not something I ever have to deal with...

My ex and I were together for 20 years, and when we first got together we'd joke about how we loved the way each other's skin and sweat smelled, and that there must be some pretty strong pheromones in there showing we were obviously well suited genetically for breeding together. And indeed we were, we have two amazingly handsome, ridiculously healthy (touch wood), tall, strong, clever children who seem to have inherited the best bits of each of us! Thank god it wasn't the other way round... . And I love the way they smell too (in a motherly way!), mmmm...

We are mammals who use scent to subconsciously assess potential partners, fertility, health, etc. So it's not that surprising that we end up with partners who smell particularly good to us.

Yes I really dont mind it, love the smell of him when hes in from work a really manly smell I thought it was just me. TMI but during sex reall love it when he works up a sweat love the feel of how warm he is

I am also an armpit sniffer.

Again it's fresh sweat and my new partner smells delicious.

After sex I sometimes lick the sweat off his neck and forehead, and have a good old sniff of his armpit when we lie together with my face nuzzled in there.

Thankfully he is just mildly amused.
