20 minute walk to school is OK isn't it?

We have been searching for a new place nearer to the dc's school and have found somewhere which would mean a 20 minute walk. That's not too much is it?

The dc are used to being driven to school at the moment so they had a minor complaining moment at the thought of 20 minutes walking but I think it'll do them no harm. Dh thinks the nearer the better especially in winter.

40-50 mins here. Does them the world of good.

20 mins should be fine for a non-disabled 5 yo, let alone a teenager. Most teens around here walk/travel for far longer.

45 minute walk here too for my 7.9 yo, 4 yo and my 2 yo. Two year old goes in the pushchair on the way up (half of the journey is uphill) and walks most of the way back.

So I am sure a teenager can manage 20 minutes.

We did 20 mins to primary school - twas fine. Actually when ds2 started in nursery, age 3, it used to take a lot longer than 20 mins, especially at the end of the day!
