I was felling pleased with myself for finding a decent comp for DS1 to go to next year, even though the girls ties weren't done up very tightly, it seemed a happy, caring school.

Then I, um,... acidentaly looked aound one on the countries top public schools.

It was totally, totally, fab.

DS is bright, and would gain a place, but we can't afrod it. At all.

I have myslef for not giving my DC the best.

He won't achive the grades he could have done if we had more money...will he.

It would not be the place for your ds Lynette.

slap never like to pass up an opportunity though.

Normally I would totally agree with you...but he's changed so much lately.

He's so relaxed and happy..becuase of his.... roughish state school...ah, I'm getting your point.

My ds ia also relaxed and happy and is actually going to school with no refusals. I totally credit his state comprehensive.

night Lynette
are you going to the xmas do?

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 10/10/2009 00:42

So, do you deserve a slap for not struggling, scrimping and saving all his life in order to be able to send him to this fabbo school?

Or is it for going to look at this place and putting yourself in a tizzy when chances are he'll be perfectly fine at the place you're sending him to?

If it's the second option I'll happily give you a slap - there - but if it's the first - come on, do you really wish you'd done three cleaning jobs and taken in washing to be able to send him there?

And they don't have to be bright to go to these places, just sufficiently solvent.
(Spoken from the pov of someone who's just given up on el posho school).

at the thought of me taking in washing. I can barely cope with my own family's laundry!

No, Cornsilk, I can't make the Christmas do.
