Should I say shit and piss to my year 10s tomorrow?

I am just going over my lessons for tomorrow.

We are looking at poverty and I have some footage of people living on smokey mountain in Manila. The families are literally wading through shit and piss on a daily basis.

I could say wading through excrement - which is what I did last week to my other group.

But was just thinking is there ever space for colourful language to get a point across.

Wanders off for cup of tea/

I think the giggle factor and the surprise at you using those words will detract from the power of your message.

I once hurt myself during a science experiment and said 'bugger'. I got lots of 'ooooohs'. I quickly replied, 'I know what you think I said but I actually said 'budder' which is a Scottish word'.
Lying worse than the swearing.

I actually cant remember what word I used but it was definitley not shit or piss. On a more important note the lesson went very well.
