Letter to teacher re. homework - angst!

DS got very upset over his RE homework, it was a project on Stone Age religion. He says he's missed lots of lessons because of having a social skills group (he has AS).

I'm writing to the teacher to explain this, I've told her what he's told me, explained that he's made an attempt at it. I'm not sure how to end the letter, I don't want to tell

her what to do, everyone hates that but feel I need to tie it up somehow as otherwise she may think, well what do you want me to do about it?

Just sign off- I hope that this is ok- or something like that

If the social group is timetabled when he is meant to have RE then I'm sure the teacher will understand. However, wouldn't do any harm to write a wee note (said as a teacher). I'd probably end it by saying thank you for her understanding and that if she wants to discuss it (or future assignments) so you can help support your DS with his work, to get in touch with you.

Dear Miss bla bla, DS has made a good effort at the Stone AGe homework he has been set, however, he has missed a few of the lesons due to taking part in his SS group. Please take this into consideration when marking it.
Thank You unfitmother
