Yr 9 End of Year Targets - what are they these days?

I know I'm a dimwit, but I can't find the targets on any of the dfee websites.

Ds's test results this term for sciences varied between 6.3 and 6.7. Apparently most of the other kids in his class are at about 7.something.

The targets on his report card for all subjects are either 6 or 7, ie expected to be at that level at the end of year 9, but of course since SATS are scrapped now I'm not sure how that's supposed to be worked out.

Are there any secondary teachers out there who can cast a beam of well informed light into the dark, cobwebbed recesses of what used to be my brain?

Please?

Okay - the average level and the one that they are expected to get in Eng, maths and Science is a level 5. However, your ds presumably got a L5 at the end of KS2? In that case, the expectation is that he will go up two levels ie: be L7 by the end of KS3.

So he's doing fine! SATs being scrapped presumably means (although I've not seen any announcements on this yet) that Yr 9 results will not be published but schools will still need to monitor progress for their own purposes and to help set at GCSE.

Thanks Janeite. Yes, level 5s at the end of yr 6, so the level 7 targets sound about right.
