Super-Selective Grammar: Pupil Premium Confirmed After Registration but Before Entrance Test

Has anyone had experience of submitting Pupil Premium eligibility to a super-selective grammar school after the test registration deadline, but before the child actually sat the entrance exam?
In our case, the school website explicitly says that Pupil Premium eligibility/evidence should be in place at the time of registration/application, which is why I’m particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has managed to update it later.
Our child was already financially eligible earlier in the year, but we did not realise in July that a separate FSM/Pupil Premium application had to be made through the primary school for the status to be formally recorded. We only became aware of this afterwards and have now had the eligibility confirmed, still before the entrance test takes place.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with a super-selective grammar where the published wording seemed to tie PP to the registration date, but the school still accepted updated eligibility before the test? Did they apply the Pupil Premium priority?
