Small supportive London sixth forms for teen with EHCP

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as I'm feeling quite lost.
We've recently moved to London from the Midlands and I'm trying to find the right school or sixth form for my 16-year-old son. He has high-functioning ASD and has always been in a very small mainstream school where he managed well with some TA support. He really struggles with large, busy environments, so I’m looking for somewhere that's small, calm, nurturing and has strong pastoral support.
We’re now in the Neasden area and he does have an EHCP. We can travel across London if needed, but ideally would like to stay within London rather than going further out.
I'm a single parent and completely new to the London system, so I’m feeling quite overwhelmed by all the options.
We’ve already visited Burlington House, but although it is small, it didn’t feel like the right fit for him. We’ve also looked at Brampton and MPW, but while they were small, they felt very academic and didn’t seem to offer much in terms of pastoral care, which I think he really needs.
Can anyone recommend:

  • A small, supportive sixth form with good pastoral care?
  • A mainstream school or sixth form that has real experience supporting young people with high-functioning ASD and EHCPs?
  • Or even a small independent school, as I’m open to exploring funding routes if it’s the right environment?
I’m really trying to avoid very large colleges or sixth forms if possible, as that just won’t suit him. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has any recommendations around London, I’d be so grateful to hear from you. Thank you so much....💞

London Park School Mayfair - private but very good sen provision. On the jubilee line!

I have this to come as a lot of state sixth forms are really big and my dd would struggle

What is the academic profile of your DS? Is he expected to pass his Maths and English GCSES? Is the plan for him to take A levels/Btecs or is he looking for a more vocational pathway? This will obviously be key in terms of post-16 recommendations.

I take it you've spoken to the SEN team at your new LA in terms of maintaining/reviewing his EHCP?

Ispea has details on moving with an EHCP if you've not seen it already: https://www.ipsea.org.uk/moving-to-a-new-local-authority
