Do we send them off with a geometry set and calculator at start of y7?

Or does the teacher tell them which to get..... Just wondering whether to get ahead of time

You’ll need a ruler, protractor and compass at some point so if you see one of those geometry set tins heavily reduced at certain times of year, it’s worth buying one. No one ever uses the set squares though and for some inexplicable reason they give you two…
Calculator model is often school-specific but the Casio scientific calculators that they sell in big supermarkets would probably be fine at most schools.
