Lady Eleanor Holles - managing ADHD/anxiety

I have changed my name for this post. I was wondering if anyone had any (preferably first-hand!) and recent experience of how the seniors in practice supports girls with adhd/anxiety or similar? My daughter has mild adhd (which she heavily masks) and anxiety and I’d like to know how this is supported (or otherwise)? She has a place already and we have started the process of getting connecting with the relevant SEN teachers, but was after some personal experience and any tips?

Mild adhd - does she need to be medicated? could be a game changer.
Anxiety try to get a solid friendship group with girls hopefully coming with a few friends and not a new person not knowing anyone.
Also, the senco is the key (is she / he any good) plus a nice teacher but you will never know if they gel personalities with your child.

That school is absolutely massive (I suppose less sensory issues regards noise and space - my daughter always laughed at the south corridor).

I can tell you the lacrosse sports teacher (male) was quite mean to the LEH girls playing a match when I watched them last year (that's another reason why I decided against it).

Hope the support within school is less clinical / unwelcoming than the open days / exams this year - we declined the place as it didn't seem personable and very cold especially at the final round of the interview slots.

It didn't seem a warm caring school but maybe I have it wrong.

Good luck

No direct experience of the SEN provision at LEH however I have a daughter finishing Y11 there and another starting in September and I just wanted to reassure you, having seen the last reply, that it is an amazing, caring, warm school. Our experience has been so positive, the girls have a lot of fun, the teachers are great. We've found it very personable, maybe they just didn't demonstrate that well enough during the admissions process.

If your daughter is starting in Y7 / Thirds then the Head of Year is really lovely x
