Non selective state school for girls in London?

My girl has attended private schools, but coz of unexpected financial problem, we're thinking about moving her to the state school system.
Could you recommend the good non selective state secondary schools for girls or good school areas in/around London?
Of course, we'd like to find academically outstanding ones, preferably in SW London area as we live in Putney. But, we're very much open to move elsewhere in/around London as we're currently renting.
My girl is in Year 8, shy and sensitive, but once gets familiar, she turns to be very friendly and outgoing.
She is very happy with a nice friend group in the current school, but we can't afford the school fee any longer. I am feeling so terrible to move her in the middle of school year, but, I want to do my best to find a possible best school for her. Will very much appreciate if you could help.🙏

Sacred Heart in Hammersmith might suit you.

I cant speak for year 8 admissions but we listed as third choice for yr 7 for the most recent intake. We were contacted just after the start of term saying Sacred Heart had a space if we wanted to move our daughter.

I suspect with exodus of families from London even those schools that are traditionally oversubscribed could still have spaces.

CForCake - I meant things like being able to do triple science, being in the Maths set aiming for 7-9 or being allowed to do French instead of Spanish. And doing Computer Science or Music GCSE instead of Food Tech. Subjects on offer, timetabling etc, it all differs. My focus would be more on that kind of thing. I think coming from a private school they may assume all options are available in state schools. They are not. Some only let top set do Triple Science. It really depends. Some have hardly any languages on offer now. We do not know how academic the child in question is. But a lot of London private schools do 10 GCSEs and strongly encourage Ebacc type subjects.

And potentially you can appeal for subject choices where you can show your child has need? You may not get anywhere, but being clear what subjects you want to do and why at GCSE may well help.

@Araminta1003 Oh no, I didn’t realise the GCSE system could differ so much between schools. Thanks for sharing your insight. That’s really helpful!

Wimbledon has two non-selective all-girls state schools. Ricards Lodge, and Ursuline. Ursuline is Catholic, Ricards is non-religious. You could try there.

Ashcroft has an excellent reputation and is in Putney. Do you not know your local schools op?

Not really :(. I'm still researching and contacting schools in Wandsworth and Fulham & Hammersmith. I've heard about Ashcroft’s reputation, as there are some kids from there in my girl's local music club. For now, I’m not considering it, as I was told it’s very strong in maths and suits students who are bright in STEM — which is quite different from my girl. Thanks for your kind recommendation.

Thanks. I already contacte the SHHS but it also has a long waiting list - more than 10 girls ahead of us 😂. Lucky you to have got a place so quickly!
