Most schools are struggling to provide good SEN support. Try finding SEN parents groups for the local areas you're interested in (you can look on the "local offer" page for each local authority) and/or try the listings on the websites of the charities for the particular condition.

Ask them for recommendations.

For example, my DC has ASD with PDA features and I found a parent group for my area via the PDA charity website.

You can also repost on SEN on here.

Thanks for the tag, @Needlenardlenoo.

OP, under another name I responded to one of your previous thread on the SEN board about schools.

The important thing is making sure the EHCP is fit for purpose. If written correctly, the provision in the EHCP must be provided even if the school doesn’t normally provide that support.

I've heard alot of good things about chestnut grove from another parent who has a son with ehcp at that school. It's also my first choice for sep 27. I am currently in the painful process of applying for a ehcp
