Langley Park Girls School - Any recent experiences?

We’re contemplating a house move to the Beckenham area so that my DD can attend Langley Park Girls from Year 7. I’ve heard good things, (as well as the occasional not-so-good thing) and would love some honest opinions from those that have experienced the school recently. My daughter is outgoing, has lots of great friends but does struggle a bit with maths. Her primary school have been excellent at supporting her through this. Thank you!!

Where are you moving from

Every school has its positives and negatives, but I haven't heard anything majorly alarming about Langley Girls, id say its similar to Bullers girls in terms of reputation.

Eltham Hill is a very good school. Are you catchment from your current address? If so, not sure why you’d move for a very similar school.

I agree that Eltham Hill is very good and on par, if not, better than Langley. I certainly don't think Langley justifies a house move, when you have Eltham Hill.

Most feedback that I have heard has been really positive, plus the head from the outstanding Hayes school moved to Langley last year. If you consider a move you need to see it all as a package - local housing stock, high street, amenities, commute, general vibe of the place etc. I think it’s a great neighbourhood for kids to grow up in.
if you are looking for more specific feedback on the school I would join the local Facebook groups.

The behaviour at the school has got much worse in recent years.

There are a growing number of unruly students that disrupt lessons and answer teachers back. This year the schools position in the Bromley league table has dropped as a result. Bullying goes unchecked so if your child is not academic and has a thick skin then it maybe the school for you.
