Hi
My DS got admission offer for WCGS but we are based in Wandsworth.
Was wondering if there are other children.who.will be starting this year and will travel from Clapham junction to Wallington.station? Is the walk From Wallington Station to.school easy ? Are there children who walk from Wallington ststion to the school ?
Thankyou . A worried mum

Well done to your DS, not easy to get into there these days. It's a short walk from the station to the school ... 10/15 min max. Can stick to main road which is always busy or cut through residential streets.

It’s a very short walk and lots of boys in all the year groups do it. It’s also possible to get a bus from opposite the school to the station.

Depending on walking speed 15 - 20 min walk but your DC may be carrying multiple bags/instruments and may find it easier to jump on a bus.

There are a couple of buses that go from the station to the school. 410 & 463. Stops are close to the school.

When your DC attends the introduction days, they will find travel buddies who are heading in the same direction. Top tip: Make sure your DC knows an alternative route to get home just in case trains are not running.

Thankyou . Sounds a bit challenging at the moment but we are planning to dp practice journeys with him over the summer so that he gets familiar and feels confident . How to find the travel buddies ? On high forum can we interact with the families closer to us ? Will the school give us some information regarding this on the Welcome meeting ?
Sorry for so many questions.

He probably seems very young at the moment in year 6 but they change dramatically in the first couple of months of year 7.

I hope so. It's a big transition from Primary to Secondary.
