Hi. My son is in year 11 and writing GCSE next year. He is currently studying 2 hours a day- he gets home at 4pm. He’s doing
5:30 -6pm BBC bitesize ( with notes taking)
6:10-6:40 a paper
9-9:30 finish off his paper
on days where he has 2hours tutoring he just works with the tutor

Is there anything more he should be doing?

When does he do homework?

If that's on top of homework it sounds like a lot. Is there particular areas or subjects that he is targetting? Just randomnly doing BBC Bitesize and papers isn't necessarily the best use of his time. And why is he note taking with the BBC bitesize? Is this to strenghen things he's learned in class? Note taking may not be the most efficient revision technique.

Yeh I agree there really isn't any way we can answer this as it's not clear what he is actually doing.

A good way to revise (and now is not too early to start) is to block out short periods of time (say 20 mins) to study a specific subject and identify a topic within that subject – so "the past tense" (German) or "reasons for the first world war" (history) you get the idea. He can then perhaps make some revision cards and get you to test him, or a mind map, or make an audio clip to listen to on the way to school.

If he rotates subjects and does a specific amount of time each day (whatever works around his HW, commute if any, sporting or other activities) then in a few months’ time he will not only have learned or revised a good section of the work, he will also have created a useful bank of revision resources.
