Does anyone ever sit A levels in July?

Are there any A levels that would be taken in July or are they all finished by the end of June?
I am wanting to book flights for next year but I want to make sure A levels will be all finished.

No, they finish in late June.

No, they will be over by the end of June.

See the dates here.

AFAIK the dates for exam boards in England are all the same.

Edit: the written papers, that is. Coursework/moderation etc happens earlier.

this is the A-level timetable for AQA for summer 2025. The other exam boards will also have their timetables out

Wednesday 25th June is contingency day, so that will be the last possible day for any exam (that would be a rescheduled beyond the published timetable because of a national issue). After that you are free!

I was just coming into mumsnet to ask for opinions on whether the JCQ contingency day is often used? I am also trying to book flights and wanted to book for 24 June (daughter is doing GCSEs) but not sure if it would be stupid to be away for 25th in case it was needed.
It seems such an unlikely event - but my daughter is getting stressed about the idea of being away just in case. Anyone had experience of this being needed?

No, it’s normally not needed at all.
yes, it would be foolish to book flights to be away then just in case.

the proviso to that being that you would know about it in advance so you could just forfeit the holiday and not get on the plane.
