School sixth from in NW London/Herts

I am looking to see if there are any school sixth forms for my dd to start this September that possibly may have places.

She is 17 and has been out of school this past year for various reasons. She was due to start at a small independent college but is having cold feet about the lack of uniform. She really wants somewhere with a uniform or at least a dress code.

She tried St Margaret’s in Bushey last year and didn’t like it. We also looked at Aldenham last October but they didn’t offer her a place and they said this year is very full.

Does anyone have any suggestions please, either state or private? She wants to study Sociology and Psychology A levels (plus one other to be decided).

Many Thanks.

I do agree @tooeasy When I talked to my friend about this, she advised me not to reopen the selection box of possible schools as that will just fuel her anxiety. And TBH I can’t think of any local schools that will suit her.

Finchley Catholic has a dress code but it will mostly be boys

Not a faith school.

Does anyone know anything about QE girls in Barnet?

What about Mount House in Barnet?

Dh and I actually looked at this school last October and suggested it to dd but we didn’t get any further. We liked it and they offer some interesting alternatives to A levels.

Part of me thinks the lack of uniform is a cover for underlying worries and if it wasn’t the uniform it would be something else.

St Chris in Letchworth?
Queenswood ?
Sherrardswood?
St Johns?
St Francis College?

a small school sounds like the ideal. All the others I can think of are abit bigger and sounds as if she can easily get overwhelmed..
