Hello

we are looking to relocate to Lincoln, any recommendations on locations please (easy to get the children to school) and feedback on Lincoln Minster School. We will be working mainly remotely.

We would like somewhere with clubs for the kids (10/7) and quite busy, so if a village needs be have facilities - perhaps Nettleham? Or are we better basing ourselves Uphill area. We have a budget of approx £750k.

Thanks for any tips!

Hello!
I would def look at uphill villages like Nettleham and Welton. Both have clubs for children like cricket, football etc... there's also cherry willingham /Reepham with a lot for children. All have good links to town.

I've known people to go to minster - I haven't got any really thoughts about it good or bad, it doesn't stand out at being amazing though when people are looking for schools in Lincoln- many travel to Horncastle grammar. But if you're looking for private then it's well worth a look x

750k will get you something really lovely uphill! It's a great area x

Very good experience with Lincoln Minster School here! As tickktock says, the Grammar in Horncastle is also popular. Other state options to look at would be William Farr and LSST. Is there anything in particular you're looking for? And any specific questions about Lincoln Minster School?

Hello - would love to hear about the pastoral side of Lincoln Minster please, both boys have dyslexia and I’ve heard they’ll be well supported. I don’t know anything about the state schools mentioned, we are open to state too, as long as they can support the dyslexia. Boys are currently in an independent twice the size of LMS.

We would like to move to quite a busy location that’s easy to get the boys to school and where there will be plenty for them
to do / meet new friends, especially as it looks as though LMS pupils come from a wide area.

Any suggestions would be great please!

Thanks for the tips on villages! I’ll take a look at the schools, it’s all about ensuring they’ll be supported properly with their dyslexia, so open to all ideas.

The pastoral care is superb! I know a couple of kids who've changed schools specifically for the dyslexia support at LMS and they've thrived. What year groups are your kids? Y2 and Y5?

They would start in yr 3 and 6 - v reassuring to hear, we’ve had good conversations so far! One is v sporty, the other musical so looks as though there are lots of extra curricular activities that will suit and we can live either close to the school or on a village utilising the bus.

No not for this academic year as we need to relocate. We got some really good feedback from people there and were happy with the school overall though.
