London Park Schools/Dukes

Would anyone have any updates on these schools?

I’ve read older threads where parents seemed somewhat dissatisfied but wondered if things had changed at all?

Either Clapham or Mayfair campus. It would be great to hear from some current parents at these two senior schools.

I would avoid any of these. I have friends who looked into London Park and feedback from a mum who sent her son there. It's a small school and very boy heavy if you are thinking of sending a daughter there. They are basically a SEN school. Fine if your children are SEN, but really not suitable for general applicants. They wrap these children up in cotton wool which is not gearing them to the real world. They try to be on trend, ie staff wearing jeans etc, but just come across as disorganised, amateur and a mess. The Mayfair school is much the same with a very high turnover of staff. Dukes have a decent reputation so who knows what they were thinking with this group of schools. The general consensus from what I hear in SW London is stay well clear.

I have friends with a son in y7 Clapham site, they are happy. Downside is it is a small school, but that means more individual attention - great for kids who have struggled academically and need a boost. Yes would I imagine there will be a fair amount of SEN. Not surprising - academically straightforward kids would probably choose a more established/larger school. Great there is an alternative for those who struggle with the blunt 11+ system.

I know well two families who have children there in the upper year, they are very pleased with it. both kids are neuro-divergent, one didn't need a school with so much support, but had to change schools and it was her preferred, but could have gone to a larger mainstream
