Do you have any recommendations for PE trainers for a boy in secondary school? Wide foot. What do you find durable?

All colours are allowed for PE

Do you have Decathlon where you are (maybe online ?) Their trainers are durable.

What sports will your DS be doing? Do they need separate indoor/outdoor trainers?

DD is in year 8, P.E. lessons are mixed. This year, they've done swimming at the local pool, 'orienteering' (running around park in 3s trying to find numbered markers in a certain order within a time limit), gymnastics (indoors), running, and are now doing handball (indoors). So for all of these her 'bog standard' trainers have been ok, luckily no need for separate shoes for the indoor courts. She has gone up 2 shoe sizes in 8 months so I get the cast-offs !

I take mine to Spirts Direct and let them try on different brands to find the best fit.

(NB not getting into politics of Sports Direct....)

Mine won’t be seen in anything other than Nike but they are from sports direct and only cost £36 each (twin girls). Year 7 they didn’t care but from year 8 they are much more brand aware.

I hate sports direct but also need affordable footwear so begrudgingly ignore those feelings.

One type of trainers for indoor outdoor. Standard PE lessons.

We've always got Nike from Sports Direct. They tend to fit our wide footed boys
