Hi @PerkyExpert. Our DS (bright but not a high flier) went up from the Prep at Cokethorpe to the Senior two years ago. I don't know what age you are looking for but we loved the Prep - really stretched DS and he was always happy there. Lots of super-curricular activities. They did a lot to help prepare DS for the Senior too, lots of overlap with older kids.
The Senior has been really good for him too. Maybe not quite as many subjects as some others, but they have an activity programme that includes extra subjects for those that want them. We have definitely found it supportive for DS. Lots of time with tutors, and he has always had small class sizes.
They do a lot on devices, all very collaborative. It seems a different world to my school days!
Schools are a bit of a personal choice, but if you are looking for somewhere that stretches without being pushy, I would say it is well worth a look.
There has been a bit coming out to parents lately about new facilities for subjects too which will probably move things on further too, depending when you are looking for.
Not related, but our DS uses the school buses, which are such a time saver and there are lots of them too.
Hope that helps!

I teach at a prep school and we send some kids there every year. Depends what you are comparing it to. It’s not as academic as MCS or Abingdon or Teddies (which has recently raised its entrance requirements), but you do have to be at a certain level.

it's gsce results are too low in my opinion, and paying for a private education is all about results , in my opinion.

This year and last year, some applicants got in at Abingdon but not Cokethorpe.
