Dulwich college / Harrow school which school is more academic?

Luckily, my DS got offers from the those 2 schools and now really need to make decision.

Some people said Harrow might not be academic at all. However, GCSE / A-Level / leavers result to UK & US Ivy League, not so bad. Dulwich looks similar in that aspect.

For us, it doesn't matter either it's Boarding & Day school, but I wish my DS studies in more academic environment with good friends next 5 years for the best shot to university.

I am not from UK local, so limited network/access to get reputation of those schools. Any advice or comments will be appreciated. :D

Mine are at DC and there are very many bright and academic kids and a culture of high achievement - but it is worn quite lightly and mixed with appreciation for extra curriculars.

Doesn’t feel like a hothouse at all but they get good results. I really appreciate the balance, but if you are after somewhere pushy with really stellar results then another choice may be better.

Both are similar academically. Harrow used to be known as the thick but rich public school. Since schools that are accessible to London have become increasingly popular, academics have risen. You have no way of knowing which your dc will be happier at as it will depend on his cohort and if he makes good friends or not. Just pick one on the basis of what you and your dc prefer. One isn't better than the other.
