Has anyone got any recent info on this school please? We are seriously considering it for our son so would love some opinions.

Thank you!

Yes, DS is there and thriving. We are delighted with the school, the ethos, the leadership. It’s a happy and purposeful school that’s bringing the best out of our DS, academically and otherwise. They make sure there’s time for fun and adventures too, along the way. Feel free to PM me if you have particular questions.

I am not a parent at the school, but have attended open days and have always been most impressed by the headteacher.

It really depends on what your after. If you want a nuturuing school with lots of creative aspects to your child's education then it's certainly the right place. If however you want a very academic education with the aim to end up in one of the top secondary schools then it probably isn't the right environment tbh, and your money will be better spent in a very academic prep school for instance.

it all depends on your child. what will suit one child won’t necessarily suit another. Some kids thrive in hot house schools while others can’t handle it at all. So you should go and see the schools, get a feel and see where your child is happy. Your child’s happiness is the most important thing. Some parents just care about the name of a school rather than if their child can handle it and as a result you get damaged children.

Yes, very true. Many people are just looking at a well known brand, like QE or Habs, spend extensive time preparing their kids for the 11 plus and not thinking what comes after, then ending up tutoring those kids for 7 years up to A level. Such schools will suite some kids, but not all, and it is important to give this some careful consideration.
