Any SEN / secondary school teachers / parents know about Scribes?

Specifically for English Language GCSE? I have a couple of Year 11 students at the school I work in who use a Scribe and they don't know (and neither do I) how it works for the 16 SPaG marks for AQA Papers 1 & 2. In the past they haven't had to spell any words or mention punctuation. So we are wondering what happens to those potential 20% marks for SPaG. Can anyone explain?

Yes.

If they dictate all spelling and punctuation they can access all marks in every level.
If they dictate one or the other, they can access half in every level.
If they let the scribe do it all, they can only access the lowest mark in every level.

It isn't humanly possible to dictate the spelling but if they give all punctuation then they get marks for grammar and punctuation.

Thanks. Do they actively have to ask their Scribe to dicate spelling and punctuation? Both of the students have autism as well as dyxlexia and find it difficult to be proactive.

I meant by that: "do they actively ask their Scribe that they (the student) dictate spelling and punctuation?" Sorry if it wasn't clear.

Yes. They have to direct the scribe.
