Is there any DeI-free private girls school in Hertfordshire?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew about schools in Hertfordshire where gender identity was not a thing.
Thanks!

St Columbia's- refreshingly untainted by all that bollocks. Kind, sensible, reasonably academic but not pushy, and superb pastoral care. Most of the kids there are not Catholic btw, and a very good mix

@WorkinMumsince4ever how have you been framing your questions to schools/pupils on yours? Am curious as to how you introduce the subject.

@BarqsHasBite , for the top school I visited (referring to the girl I mentioned), casually asked “I noticed your diversity flag, how does the school implement it on the day to day basis?”

For other schools: “what is your policy regarding DeI?” Listen, then “what about gender identity?”

Very open questions.

@EveryBlinkingDay , I got curious as well. Just saw they removed “girls” from their language in the “safeguarding” section. Very disappointing

”Queenswood is committed to promoting and ensuring the safety and well-being of every pupil at the School. All children have the right to feel safe and protected from any form of abuse. The best interests of the child are paramount to enable children to have the best outcome. This policy ensures compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance including: Keeping Children Safe in Education (2023) (KCSIE); Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) (WTSC) and Prevent legislation (2015).”

@BarqsHasBite totally agree. This is like cancer. Worse than I dared to believe. How many are being indoctrinated? It makes me want to scream.

Are boys' schools doing the same?

ZolaBudd · 29/09/2023 06:56

I think it’s a bit unfair to quiz kids on it during a tour
they’re doing a job for the staff, prob are a bit nervous anyway and they’re not the decision makers

WorkinMumsince4ever · 02/10/2023 19:39

@ZolaBudd the girls do not pretend to be part of the staff. Doing a job for the staff… what does that mean? I think they rightly feel proud of their school, and that’s fine.

For info. I didn’t quiz her, just asked one simple question with the option of not responding (I think oils r feel offended) and she was polite enough to respond.

I am browsing schools for my little one and need to get an idea from an actual student, on how those ideas are lived in at school.
