I have had the date through for the face to face appeal for my daughter in June and feeling a little overwhelmed with the letters that have been sent and what to expect.
My daughter didn’t pass the test (by just a few marks) but we feel, and her primary school feel, that personal extenuating circumstances meant she didn’t perform to her full ability on the day (won’t go into detail but she was in hospital prior to test and then also experienced some family issues at home a few days before).
I provided other academic evidence which showed higher academic ability and she has a great letter from her head teacher.
However, the letter’s sent from the school have reams of information about how they are full and must be cautious admitting over PAN.
What should I expect at the meeting? Will I just have to reiterate everything I have stated in the letter about why we feel she didn’t perform on the day or do I have to also talk about the school admitting over PAN etc? Reading all the info from the school has left me a little overwhelmed if I’m honest.
Any help would be much appreciated 😊
