Does anyone have any recent experiences of Blackheath High? We're looking at SE London day schools for our DD. Any insights appreciated! Thanks.

Hi,
My daughters are in Blackheath High, they have so different personalities and hobbies however both of them are so happy there. We had offers from more selective schools but they never wanted to move. We are abroad now for an holiday and even now they cant wait to start to school on Monday:) and as a Blackheath High parent I must add that Blackheath High is so welcoming, friendly and nurturing environment for the girls. My daughters all friends are so lovely and kind. And I never met any girl in school who is unhappy or not settled.
Good luck with your decision. If you have any questions please PM me xxx

Blackheath High is great school. We are extremely happy with the school. Just consider that sport field is not on site but never been a issue for us… My daughter really like while they walk to the field (15mins walk)… Apart from that its a perfect place for girls.

hi all. I have an offer for Blackheath Prep and Blackheath High School and am torn between the two. My daughter is pretty bright and advanced for 3. I want to make sure she is challenged but also want her to enjoy school etc. any thoughts would be helpful.

V different schools.

The prep is mixed and entry at Nursery level is pretty competitive. You then have to go through the whole 11+ process.

Blackheath high is all girls and no 11+ - a very different culture?

BP is thought to be 'more academic' - it's definitely quite competitive to get a place at age 3. The High School takes a broader spectrum of abilities and this is reflected in its uni destinations.
