Drugs in schools - Fortismere

I have heard of several cases of drugs usage in Fortismere. Some old cases but also some very recent. It's all very concerning with 2 children in primary and Fortismere being our local school. How big the problem is? Is it common in all schools in London, all schools in UK?
Anyone with children in Fortismere? What do you think of it? Are they working towards improving things after the latest ofsted downgrade?

This fascinates me as my parents 30 years ago chose not to send me to Fortismere because of its bad reputation. Instead they sent me to a different school where I had a horrible time. Friends at Fortismere were happy and I so wished I’d gone there.

Anyway my experience is out of date but for your children’s 6th form, I insist on recommending Woodhouse College in North Finchley which is only a bus ride away from Muswell Hill and is fantastic. Gets academic results better than most private schools but more importantly is so so fun.

@Saturdaydreamingway2355555 that's interesting. Is the situation not similar up North? Everyone else here seem to think that drug problems is not related to the school being in London and it's similar everywhere else in the country.

@Veridane I am sorry that you didn't have a good school experience. Thanks for the tip about the sixth form school. I have heard good things about it too.

Manchester and the most prestigious private has issues as do most schools. They just have the more expensive type. Kids need money to buy drugs & freedom to use them unnoticed. Unless of course they are part of the supply chain.
