What does the school suggest? Get the one they say, because the teacher's will know it and will be allowed for exams

Our school asked for Casio calculator but definitely check with teachers

Yes, DSs were told by the school which one to get.

My children bought them through their sixth form. Initially Ds1 rented his but was so attached to it he bought it just before he left, they were given the option to buy them, but he is doing a degree that requires high level maths calculations. Ds2 was only given the option to buy and it is usually at a discounted rate. They all have the same calculator for ease of teaching.

Agree that you should check with school. DD passed hers on to her brother as she's not expecting to be doing maths again; but after about a year he realised he really needed to get a different one that was what his school were using. I don't know whether they were doing different exam boards or not, but DS is also doing FM.

DS doing A level maths has the Casio FX-991EX which cost about £30 but also has CASIO FX-CG50 Graphic Calculator which was about £100 which apparently draws graphs etc.
