Any current Tiffin's Girls' parents here?

Hi - I wonder if there are any current Tiffin's Girls parents here and have any experience to share about the teaching quality, learning atmosphere and clubs/after school activities are like. My daughter has an Year 7 offer from LEH & G&L and we like both schools. However if she secures an offer from Tiffin, it'll be a tough call. We live around Richmond area so distance-wise they are all similar.

Just wanna gather my thoughts earlier as 1 March is approaching fast.

Thanks in advance.

Indeed I am keen to learn about the extra curricular activities at Tiffin Girls too. I read that there are a lot on offer but same query as @WimMum2015 on whether the students do have the time/joy to be take part in them.

@WimMum2015 I was really just speculating - it’s impossible to know for sure - but I suppose I meant vs good state school where there’s a greater range of abilities and attitudes to learning (therefore possibly less self-inflicted - but influenced by peers - pressure to keep excelling) and more local friends to hang out with. I don’t have first hand experience of academic private schools - I’m sure some are quite similar to Tiffin.

My daughter isn’t mega sporty or into extra curricular activities, so not sure how these compare to other schools. I would have thought, aside from music, that private school have the edge. My daughter has never been on a school trip, other than to London, for example, but that’s partly down to Covid.

@WimMum2015 @Ernern In terms of time, for a Y7 student at least, there is plenty. But similar to Thingshavechanged, my DD doesn't like other clubs so not much to tell. I did see her spending long time on art and DT stuff, but only due to same perfectionist nature. So you can imagine, since not much homework, rest of the time they choose what to do. One big change to DD is she opens up much more, has more friends and accepts "challenge" (yes she considers those as pressure) from non-academic activities, like drama, dance, team sports, for which I had to push hard before.
@BonjourCrisette I am a bit surprised by your words hence did some research. It seems to be your style of posting so I am ok with that. You may notice there is less information about TGS comparing with other independent schools. Personally I suppose it is because these parents are more low profile and don't chat online.

Thanks so much @Createuser for your sharing. I must admit that I would be very tempted to choose Tiffins over other indies as Tiffin seems to be comparable in all fronts : ECA, homework, size (not facilities), academic results and Oxbridge rates. I though appreciate that its pastoral care would be somewhat less due to resources constraints.
@Createuser Are there any curriculum-based trips and non-curriculum's? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't know much about school trips yet. There was one last September near the school for students to get to know each other. Another week long residential trip is scheduled for this summer somewhere in England. More curriculum or non curriculum trips I didn't get chance to ask as no open days during pandemic.
The school has a new sports hall, big drawback is no swimming pool, but I assume it is too expensive to run for a state school anyway. The main hall is a bit shabby for which they are fund raising to improve.

Closing the loop here. We are going to choose G&L over Tiffin Girls. It just suits us more.
Thanks for all the valuable inputs & good luck!
