How far do you go helping with coursework?

Do you ever feel like you exceed your parenting job description with some of the help and support you give?

Context: I've just been researching Food Tech coursework exemplars because I'm not sure that DD is getting good advice & feedback from teachers. (After research I think I'm right!). I am not talking about doing the work or even proofreading, it's about what I'd expect from the school for framework and structure.

Would love to know if I'm on my own with this!

No you're not on your own! When I was doing coursework at school, we had very clear guidelines & framework for how to set out coursework, what was expected and how to maximise marks. DSD (15) does not have any of this, so when she's doing

Sorry sent too soon! So when she's doing coursework, it all seems very fragmented - there's no clear goal and I find myself having to go above and beyond to try and guide her in how it should be set out. Seems they have a massive jump from Y9 to y10 without proper support IMO.

The recent spec changes made it much more restrictive on what teachers could provide for coursework teaching. It's very tricky.
