Any views from current parents or pupils? Not currently living in Bristol, so unsure of local reputation. Is it over-subscribed?

And which other state sixth forms have good reputations in Bristol?

Not sure about North Bristol as we didn't live close enough to apply there.
Other good co-ed sixth forms:
Bristol Cathedral choir school
St Mary Redcliffe and Temple (faith criteria don't apply for 6th form entry but priority given to pupils who were there Y7-Y11)
St Brendans sixth form college very large and covers the widest range of subjects.
If you have a girl there is Colstons Girls School (changing it's name soon)
There are smaller sixth forms at Bristol Free school and St Bedes school (Catholic).
For all of these you apply direct to the sixth form. If you are applying for this September you will be a late application though.

Really useful - thank you. It's for 2023 entry so have a bit of time - just getting organised!

Hi OP I have a year 9 daughter and live in Bristol. She’ll be intake 2023 too. Haven’t looked into it properly yet but was think City of Bristol college rather than a 6th form, she doesn’t like the school type environment much.

Following with interest!

I would take a look at St Brendans @JudyGemstone as they are more of a college environment too and allow mixing of A levels and vocational qualifications.
City of Bristol college would expect you to specialise in one area for vocational qualifications and their A level courses would be a wide mix of ages.
For most sixth forms it's a combination of results expected and then distance from sixth form to home for entry.
They all have slightly different application deadlines.
Some sixth forms had fixed option blocks for subjects and others were a bit more flexible.

I think the Colston Girls (to be renamed) 6th form is now co-ed and in partnership with Fairfield - called V6.
