Hi, first time here. We would be really thankful for any thoughts and advice.

Our appeal for my son's secondary school is here soon.

I was just wondering, how many questions is fair enough to ask the school which would not sound like we are being overcritical?

TIA!!!

Is that the school you want or the one you don’t?
You have to prove that the school you want is the best one for your child ie if they have an amazing music depth and your child plays violin etc

There is no problem with asking all the questions you want to ask. In the first part of the appeal, the school present there case as to why they could not admit and you can ask any questions you want as long as it is aimed at showing that the school can and should admit more pupils.
In the second part of the appeal you are making the case why you particular child should be offered a place at the school, which would not need any questions.
The panel members and the school representative will have been through this all before, so will not be phased by you asking questions as long as they are legitimate questions about the case.

It was our first choice we are appealing for.

Thanks for the input admission! I just don't want to sound too argumentative by bombarding the school with questions.
