Hi all, I'm moving to Fleet at the end of the year, my daughter is currently in year 5. We are relocating from Essex. I will need to apply for Senior Schools in October this year so wanted to get some advice / reviews from local mums on either Court Moore School or Calthorpe Park School, both are rated good on ofstead. My daughter is very shy, she does make friends and is very well liked at her current school but she's not an overly confident child, its going to be a hard transition. Normally we would look around schools to get a feel of them but difficult in current circumstances. My daughter is sporty and particularly good at tennis, so a school that is sports focused would be good. I would really appreciate any advice if you have experience with either schools.

Also looking at moving into that area (Fleet / Church Crookham), so would love any first hand info of those 2 schools. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks! :)

Hi - the catchment areas are pretty strict. Calthorpe is massive and is expanding.

Courtmoor can't expand anymore.

I have a child at calthorpe. I preferred courtmoor but they preferred calthorpe. Good job as it's our catchment school!

Child is happy.

Wouldn't recommend getting the bus as it's bloody awful!

Thanks so much for the feedback- is there any particular reason you preferred courtmoore ? Its good to hear your child is happy at school choice - ultimately that's all we ever want isn't it !

Courtmoor felt friendlier. I felt that my PFB would be overwhelmed at Calthorpe. It has 2 headteachers 😮.

Also the majority of their friends would be going to Courtmoor. Tbh they just made new ones.

Secondary school feels massive anyway so it seemed like such a big leap!

Thanks for the feedback! Good to know about the size of Calthorpe. I guess at the end of the day the one you go to will depend where the house you buy is, but good to know they are both good

Yes definitely both good. Lots of new build estates round here so do check the map. I know Crookham park is Calthorpe catchment even though Courtmoor is actually closer.

We are looking at a place in Zebon Copse this week which is Courtmoor catchment so we will see how that goes Smile

Hello, i have 2 sons both of them are in Calthorpe, they are very happy at their school and I am too. The teaching is very good and It was the 3rd school in hampshire that get the best GCSE result last year. I liked courtmoor but now not any more. It’s a very big school and there is the opening evening on the 14 th of october which my one of my children will be there representing the science and the whole school. Calthorpe park also allows you 3 years in GCSE rather than 2 years, starting from year 9 to 11, they also have a wide variety of subjects to chose from.So my advice to have a look at both Calthorpe and courtmoor and have a decision with your daughter.

The Edenbrook estate in Hitches Lane, is right opposite Calthorpe, has been under construction for more than ten years and building is still going on. Ten years ago, it was much smaller and there was a leisure centre next to it, now located on the Edenbrook estate, which Calthorpe utilised.

Court moor is the most dreadfull school ever made. My daughter runs home crying every day due to relentless bullying that is not controlled. Do not send your kids to this horrid school

Anonymous220 · 18/12/2025 16:07

Hi all, I just wanted say that I highly recommend that you don't send your kids to court moor! My daughter who is in year 9 comes home from school crying telling me that she go through allot of bullying and she receives allot of hateful comments, I told her to go and tell the teachers about this but she refuses to because she says the teachers aren't doing a good job with helping.
