Hampton School - will a gentle/non sporty boy settle there?

We are back and forth trying to decide on a school for ds. He has a spot at Hampton and we were all impressed with the virtual events throughout the process and the school in general. The staff make a great deal of effort explaining it is a school for all boys and there is something for everyone.

Yet, I still waffle over whether or not my son will settle there and find a nice friendship group if he's not into rugby/football (or sport in general) and is on the gentle side and small for his age. He has spent a lot of time at primary school with the girls; boys also but never the football crowd.

Our mixed options aren't as inspiring academically, so Hampton is our preference.
Are there any other parents of decidedly nonsporty boys that have selected Hampton and could reassure me?

Also, if you've selected Hampton and realised the fit was not right, I'd like to hear that as well.

When we visited the school and met the head and others there, we were left with the impression it was a great school which would cater for every boy, and it didn’t want a particular type. It’s possible he may find a sport there that wasn’t available at his primary school. It’s a major rowing school, or fencing or fives etc.

@goldil0cks I replied to your comment on the SW London boys thread but did you attend the virtual q &a last week and get a copy of the summary from Hampton? Lots of reassurance there that it is very much a school for all types of boy (despite the sporty reputation) and offers loads of different extra curricular stuff across a broad range of activities.

I have a non sporty DS off to Hampton in September but I can completely see him enjoying the climbing wall for example.

Good luck with your decision.
