Given that the school considers only applicants who are Catholic, does it mean that it is relatively easier to get into this school than other top girls' boarding schools?

It doesn't consider only Roman Catholics. Lady Louise is a student there.

I think she is an exception. When I tried to register, the school required proof on my girl's religion.

If you are not RC, would you really want your DD to go to such an OTT RC school? Choose St George's Ascot instead.

My DSs went to St George's Weybridge, but less than a third of students were RC, and a miniscule amount practising.

If your DD is RC it might indeed be easier to get into St Mary’s Ascot than other top boarding schools as the pool of applicants will be smaller given the religion criteria. My DD goes there and I’m pretty sure that in her year some girls are not RC... But it doesn’t really matter, I don’t think girls talk about this at school, and unlike its reputation the school is actually quite open, (relatively) modern and inclusive regardless of backgrounds and abilities.

How about The Marist? Its Catholic but the majority are not Catholic, just has good values and academics?
