Does anyone have any feedback about this school? We've had an offer for my dc for September for y7, but won't be able to see what the school is actually like, with children in it. The ofsted is absolutely glowing, but I'd appreciate any real life experience.

Many thanks - and apologies, as I'll post this on both education boards to hopefully maximise people seeing it. 😁

@leeloo1 Hi, have your DC eventually joined this school? I'm interested to know if it is a good option for independent school in North London. Thanks!

Hi @Hpchan - yes he did go there and so far it’s gone really well. The teachers really go above and beyond for the students and there is genuinely a real family feel to the school. There is a good online communication system so you can see their exam results, merits and any discipline issues (eg being late to class). Also you get an email from the teacher if homework has been forgotten or if there are any concerns, so there is no opportunity for anything to fall between the cracks. The behaviour management in the school is excellent - very clear and consistently implemented and there’s none of the low level bullying/ bad behaviour (that seemed to be almost expected at the prep school my ds was at previously) as anything untoward is not tolerated at all.

We recently had the gcse options evening (they’ll be starting GCSEs in y9) and all the teachers really ‘knew’ my ds and were so enthusiastic about how they talked about him that it was really heartwarming.

There are clubs or a homework club every day after school, maths enrichment on Saturday mornings and orchestra at lunchtime. The school enter lots of Olympiads for science and maths too, so it feels like there’s a lot of opportunities if you’re keen.

Also - from a practical point of view the school transport is excellent and my ds is collected from our house, which makes my life very easy!

Hi @leeloo1 - thanks a lot for the sharing, very useful information, much appreciated!

I'm living with my family in Hong Kong now and will be relocating to North London soon, so I'm exploring different options now including states and independent schools.

Looks like the school does not offer sixth form? Is that means once students completed GCSE they will need to move onto another sixth form college in order to further their A-level studies for university entry?

Hey @Hpchan - that’s right, at the moment they are just going up to GCSEs so the students go elsewhere for a levels, but I know the school were considering offering a levels in the future. Good luck with your move x
