bursary and borrowing money for business

I am wondering if I can apply for the bursary, i know that it is not allowed to have a 2nd home, but my husband has a ltd company which develop a property, making small profit (so the property is on a loan and then the profit is made after the house is sold and the loan is paid), so there is no money in the house, it is all borrowed.

Is the property owned by the limited company? But they are likely to want to see company accounts listing assets and liabilities and then make a decision. Different schools will make different assessments.

Are you already in the school, and hoping to apply for a bursary to help you through COVID crisis? Would a longer term repayment plan also suit? How long might it take for the business to get back on its feet?

Or are you new candidates to the school? If so when are you hoping your DC will join. Bursaries for Sept 2020 would normally all have been offered by now, and I think it's quite likely any excess would be currently earmarked for hardship funds for existing parents

now, we are going to apply next year, after sitting entrance exams. I wonder what paperwok normally people are required to submit if one of the parents has an ltd company

At our school company accounts for three years and personal tax returns. Copies of bank statements etc.

Schools do vary.....but generally speaking, you will be fine. It’s the overall picture that is looked at regarding income/ expenditure/ assets. We showed one year accounts of Ltd Company.
